Poke, poke, poke, poke I can't stop it Bump Poke, poke, poke, poke I kinda gave up on it in the middle of the middle school arc.

I loved Elementary School, but the Middle School was boring, felt pointless, and it seemed like nothing was happening. User Info: Daremo. It's a lot like life. Once close friends drift away, things that were so vital no longer carry the same importance, so it goes. I still like it. Better far to live and die under the brave black flag I fly, than play a hypocritical part, with a pervert head and a pervert heart.

The Pervert King. User Info: hideto. Hokuto Musou came out in December in Japan and will be out in other regions at the beginning of February. User Info: Sarumanu. Takatsuki looks great in a dress and seems to have no problem with that despite her angst in elementary and middle school about being a girl.

That was the entire point of her arc some chapters back. Mako's homosexuality and crossdressing is never brought up anymore. Yes it is, this was the focus just a couple of chapters ago. Whats-his-face, Chiba's crossdressing church friend is never brought up anymore. Didn't he come to someone's cultural festival thing or something some chapters back. It's not like he had significant presence prior to everyone growing up either though. The entire series is about people changing and growing up and whatnot, and I think it's still capturing that well.

Once upon a time there was a fish. From: hideto Hokuto Musou came out in December in Japan and will be out in other regions at the beginning of February. From: Sarumanu Takatsuki looks great in a dress and seems to have no problem with that despite her angst in elementary and middle school about being a girl. Yeah but its like, one chapter at a time and then you don't see them again for a dozen chapters or so.

Even then it's just like "Oh, I like men and like to wear girl's clothes User Info: GTomahawk. I still like it but it's the kind of thing I drift in and out of and read a few chapters every once in a while. More topics from this board Whatever happened to the Isekai Quartet dub? Keep me logged in on this device. Forgot your username or password? It was everything a story about gender identity issues should be. Nitori and Takatsuki were a perfect pair. Then the middle school arc was okay, but it was distinctly lacking in Takatsuki compared to the first arc.

Then Nitori gets together with Anna which Then everyone starts to drift apart And we get the high school arc. Oh, what a gigantic piece of crap this has been. Everyone hates each other, or is just plain completely distant from each other, except for Nitori and Anna who STILL have no goddamn reason to be dating each other. Takatsuki almost never shows up and when she does, it's like she's completely forgotten about that whole "wanting to be a boy" thing.

As for Nitori himself, it's just plain unrealistic. Okay, I get that he's always looked very feminine, but as a high schooler, there is NO WAY he can possibly pass for a girl without taking hormones and he's not, and only very recently is he showing any signs of male characteristic development. Plus the drama is gone. Everyone knows that he wants to be a girl, everyone knows that he crossdresses and everyone is okay with that.

It's great that everyone accepts it, but there's no conflict, there's no character development, every chapter is just him moping that sooner or later he's not going to be able to crossdress anymore.

Either that or it's just plain not about him at all, and instead about one of the other characters that hates everyone else. Except for Takatsuki, it's never about Takatsuki. What the hell happened to this series? This was almost perfect at the start! They threw out the dynamic between Nitori and Takatsuki. Almost nobody talks to each other anymore. And nothing at all is happening with anyone's gender identity issues. Nitori still looks great in a dress, but is a little depressed. Chiba's crossdressing fetish is never spoken of anymore.

Every chapter is as dull as the last. Every chapter ends abruptly with nothing being accomplished at all. And it keeps going on and on with no sign of ending anytime soon.

Effeminate fifth grader Shuuichi Nitori is considered by most to be one of the prettiest girls in school, but much to her dismay, she is actually biologically male. The manga sends an incredibly dangerous message: that gender dysphoria in FAAB youth is a phase. That's why Wandering Son should never be recommended to cis people, most of whom think that teens "growing out of it" is a real thing, and should only be recommended to trans people with a clear disclaimer about what to expect for the FAAB character.
