Here, she's fleshed out a bit and she takes on the kickasss action heroine role so prevalent in the Terminator franchise. Blair Williams is someone who remembers what life was like before Judgment Day, yet is still young and vibrant enough to adapt to her lethal post-apocalyptic environment and learn how to fight. In six episodes, we see her grit and resourcefulness and just how full of fight she is.

I'm not clear on the exact timeline of this story. Whatever the case, the story takes place in a ravaged Los Angeles sometime in , with Blair Williams tasked with ferreting out the Ghost, an elusive entity which had been disrupting the Resistance's communication system. Die-hard fans may want to get this DVD to complete their collection, but others can probably make do without. Although there are tons of frantic chases and firefights with the Machines, the story itself isn't really that compelling and I don't think it at all enriches the Terminator mythos.

But it's made even less relevant by the faulty animation. Not too surprisingly the look of the thing did make me feel as if I were in the middle of a video game. Thing is, the graphics don't really achieve, let alone maintain, a high level of quality. You know it's rough when the animators don't even try real hard to sync the lip movements of the characters with their dialogue.

I love the Terminator Series. And it is FUN to have a bit more of the story to think about and enjoy. However, there is so little story, and so much video game action, that you really can never stop thinking that you are in a video game, and not "watching a movie with a story and a plot.

It is a fan-fiction type of story that was made with animation software that you would see in video gaming software. Everything caries that jerky animation quality common to older video games.

Still, this is an actual story of several chapters and it is fun in the respect that you are engaged once again in the Terminator Saga. I would give it a C- for a grade for the story. The graphics are really not so good. Machima is NOT ready for Movie making in my opinion. The technology isn't there yet. So, graphic images fall flat. Still, it is fun to see more of the classic Terminator series! If I read correctly there are six episodes in series one and now we're down to two left.

The pace is picking up and the minutes are as well. Fifteen minutes is exactly what the length needs to be to feel like you're watching something of substance. Episode 3 was barely ten minutes and when it finished it felt way too short. With both Terminator Salvation the movie and video game getting poor reviews we can only hope an SDK will get released so fans like myself can continue creating content like this in order to keep the franchise alive and well.

Hopefully there will be two more movies after Terminator Salvation and hopefully a game will be created long in advance of the next film to increase its quality levels. All-in-all with the price drop since my initial review to now this series feels watchable and actually entertaining. Like I said though hopefully a game SDK gets released so fans everywhere will be able to create their own content with movies and 3D assets to keep the Terminator franchise alive and kicking. I am still mad about them canceling Sarah Conner Chronicles.

Its one of the few TV series that I really, really wanted to know what was going to happen next. The people who cancelled that series should be a;lsdk kdfjklFII!!! Ok, so, if you haven't seen that series watch it. The second season is even better than the first. Its pretty good and lets cross our fingers that if the Terminator mythology is persistant enough we may see some more great content.

Everything overall was good but the ending was a little weak. I did like this six part machinima series but the story could have been stronger. Without users to create content on their own you truly limit yourself. Look how Counter-Strike became so popular as a fan created mod and Day of Defeat etc. All in all I was happy with this though it could definitely use improvements with stronger story elements and such.

We'll see if another series gets released or if we'll get an SDK and potentially see a lot more of this stuff from a lot more people. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. We have already had two pulp paperbacks and a graphic novel, now we have the Salvation DVD itself and this little curio - The Machinima Series.

Previously available on the internet around the time of the movie, this 6-part animated story has audaciously bagged itself a DVD release. It is surprising that this was granted considering the animation is not really up to the standard of what you would expect, even for a straight-to-DVD production. That this DVD has received little advance word or publicity is perhaps acknowledgement by it's distributors that they are aware of this and have merely put it together as an added extra and revenue raiser for the Terminator fans.

One element in the production's favour however is the presence of Moon Bloodgood again portraying her character of Blair Williams, though only in vocal form this time.

The story follows her character as she narrates her own story of existing amongst the ruins of post-judgement day earth and fighting Skynet and it's Terminators. She appears to be very much a Lone-Wolf, fighting on her own and not bowing down to any bureaucratic command.
